Slice Count: 5 (5 large slices of HomeRun pizza with canadian bacon, olives, and mushrooms)
Weight: n/a Exercise: Walked from one airport terminal to another ;) Cost: $21.94 How I feel generally: Still pretty happy about all of the cool stuff that happened on the trip How my tummy feels: normal (WOOOO NO TRAVELER'S DIARRHEA!) Extras: One airplane coffee, two Clif Nutbutter bars, a banana, tiny salad at the United Club in between flights I flew back from Nicaragua in the morning. It was an amazing trip. I had to give my entire presentation in Spanish, which was interesting considering I hadn't really spoken much Spanish in the last five years. The three-day hiatus (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) from pizza sort of ruined my appetite for pizza. I got a taste of the outside world (tostones, queso fresco, and pinolillo, anyone?) and I did NOT want to go back to pizza!!! However, this may have actually been one of the best pizzas I had this month. I really liked this place. They had a lot of Italian herbs in their sauce and their crust was the perfect texture. They didn't have very many vegetable toppings though. I flew back into San Francisco and arrived in the early afternoon, then rented a car and drove up to the Arcata, California area, deep in the redwoods, for my half-marathon that I had planned with a friend. I stopped at a place in Santa Rosa along the way called HomeRun Pizza, for pizza lunch and dinner. I didn't really eat much before that today because I don't like to spend money on overpriced food when I travel.
